Organic, primitive and sensual, the Yli collection by Revol breaks away from the traditional codes of tableware to question our relationship with matter and thus fully awaken the senses. Imagined and designed by Ferréol Babin.
Working from his workshop from a clay containing pieces of cooked clay and which therefore already naturally presents roughness, Ferréol Babin strives to bring each of his pieces to life by conscientiously marking them with the imprint of the hand and tools as it dries.
Eminently respectful of artisanal work, the demanding method of reproduction also makes it possible to blur the lines. Smooth, technical and pure, the porcelain from the Revol factory is shown in a new light with Yli. Reconnecting with the earth, with its history, it fully reveals its raw, moving and primitive character. In its black and unenameled version, it almost resembles wrought iron, and thus invites us to go beyond appearances to question, according to the designer's wishes, the origin of things.
